A Kenyan academy of music & worship
Carmel Academy exists to nurture skilled, confident and grounded musicians — from the very first note to the professional stage.
Who we are
Carmel Academy of Music is based inside Nyakoe Central SDA Church premises in Kisii, Kenya. We exist first to equip church music departments — choristers, choirs, music groups, instrumentalists and their trainers — with strong musicianship, caring teaching and a heart for worship.
Our structured curriculum takes every learner through clear levels — Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced and Professional — across voice, instruments, theory, production, composition and music ministry. Rooted in the SDA church, we warmly welcome neighbouring churches of every denomination, as well as children, youth and adults from our community.
For now, classes are held in person at our Kisii premises, with students coming from the surrounding area. Virtual classes are coming soon so we can reach further.
